Humane World for Animals ‘Are you having trouble affording your pet?’ provides resources that can help with veterinary expenses, pet food, and more.
Spay/Neuter Animal Network (SPAN)
Dogs On Deployment connects active duty and veterans with volunteers who can board their pets during deployments, training, and emergencies. They also provide financial support to qualifying service members, E-5 ranks and below, and non-active veterans on an individual basis. Individuals can apply for grants for routine and emergency care, as well as for costs related to PCS travel with pets.
The Pet Fund provides financial aid for pets who need non-basic, non-urgent care.
Best Friends Animal Society offers a listing of resources by state and breed, as well as for individuals who are disabled or have assistance animals.
Trio Animal Foundation helps shelters, rescues and individuals pay medical bills of homeless pets.
Red Rover helps animals rescued from disasters or neglect, domestic violence victims seeking safety with their pets, and animals with life-threatening illnesses.
Care Credit offers payment plans for individuals who need help with various types of bills, including veterinary care.
Handicapped Pets Foundation donates mobility equipment to pets in need.
Frankie’s Friends helps with the treatment of emergency and specialty medical conditions where the pet would otherwise suffer, be euthanized, or relinquished without proper veterinary care. Grants capped at $2000 per pet/household.
Bow Wow Buddies Foundation will award grants up to $1,500 for necessary medical treatments for dogs across North America. Individuals may apply for a grant when they are struggling to cover the costs of their dog’s veterinary care. A shelter or rescue group may apply for a grant if a dog is awaiting adoption pending veterinary care.
Live Like Roo provides support and financial assistance to families whose pet faces a cancer diagnosis.
Miranda’s People provides financial assistance for dogs with cancer.
The Peanut Fund provides financial assistance with small dollar grants of $50-$200.
